On August 11, 2007, Argentina issued a commemo-
rative marking the 100th birth anniversary of Homero Nicolás Manzione Prestera (1907-1951), better known as Homero Manzi. He was an Argentine tango lyricist and author of various famous tangos. He was also a filmmaker, notable for his work during the classical era of Argentine cinema. The stamp was illustrated by the renowned Uruguayan-Argentine artist and caricaturist Hermenegildo Sábat.
